Delhi have managed 173/7 at the end of their 20 overs. Dilshan played an explosive 37 off 18 balls at the top of the order after they lost Warner early. Villiers scored 44 off 36 balls but it was Dinesh Kartik who gave them a huge boost at the end of the innings scoring 44 off 23 balls with 23 runs scored in the last over itself. This will be a tough ask for Hyderabad to chase this huge total and they would need a big innings from Gilchrist at the top.

Hyderabad won the toss and elected to field first.
Delhi take on Hyderabad in this all important encounter at the Kingsmead, Durban. We have had a couple of battles between the teams at the bottom but this one is between the two sides from the top. Delhi sit well on top of the table with 14 pts from 9 games having won 7 and lost just 2. They had a convincing 7 wicket win against Kolkata in the last game and would look to continue their winning run. The side has one of the best batting line-up in IPL with Gambhir, Warner, Dilshan and DeVilliers and all of them firing as well. Even their bowlers have done a commendable job with Nehra, Nannes and Mishra striking big time. They still await the return of their skipper Virender Sehwag who is out with an injury, once he is back Delhi will become even more dangerous. Hyderabad for once held the top position in the table but some losses in the middle took them a bit down. They are currently 3rd in the table with 12 pts from their 10 games. Even they won their last game quite easily against the defending champions Jaipur. The return of Andrew Symonds has done wonders to their side as he looks in excellent touch with the bat. Rohit Sharma has been a success story for them, but surprisingly with the ball as he has had quite a few wickets in the recent games. With D.Smith, Ojha, Suman and RP Singh all performing well, the side has looked pretty good. The only worry for them will be their local player Herschelle Gibbs who has been running out of form along with their skipper Adam Gilchrist. Should be another exciting and mouth-watering contest of the tournament.
