England vs Australia

Australia have won the first of 7 ODIs at The Oval by 4 runs, having restricted England to 256 for 8 in 50 overs. England did well at the start of the innings and ensured they had wickets intact after the first Power Play to capitalise later on. But it was the middle of the innings that lost them the match as all their batsmen failed to score freely and struggled to find the boundary for long periods of time. But they made a good fight of it towards the end led by Luke Wright and later Adil Rashid who gave it their best shot. It was a cracker of game which went down to the last ball and we sure hope the rest of this series would produce more of such games. Michael Clarke would be happy to have led his side to victory and take a lead in the series which could be just what Australia needed to lift themselves after having lost the Ashes.
