Australia beat England by 39 runs
England
Australia
Australia have beaten England by 39 runs, having bowled them out for 210 in 46.1 overs. England started well in their chase with a brilliant 74 run opening stand between Bopara and Strauss. But they lost 4 wickets for the next 20 odd runs and could never recover from there on. It was similar to the Australian innings as Collingwood batted steadily holding on end, scoring at a brisk pace and always believing similar to Ferguson's innings. But they could not find anyone to play the role Mitchell Johnson played towards the end to give them that final push at the target. Nathan Bracken, Brett Lee and Mitchell Johnson bowled superbly, not allowing the batsmen to score freely and picking up 6 wickets between them. This win gives Australia a healthy 2-0 lead in the series and all the pressure is on England to comeback.
Mitchell Johnson is chosen the Man of the Match for his all round show in the game.
