Australia have smashed a brilliant 350/4 in their 50 overs on a beautiful batting surface. It is just the kind of performance the side wanted from their batsmen after being down with injuries. Their openers gave them a stunning start adding 145 for the 1st wicket before Watson fell 7 short of his ton. Marsh (112) went on to score a well-compiled hundred while Ponting (45) gave him some good support at the other end. Towards the end, White (57) and Hussey (31*) got together and just did what they were expected to, hitting 80 runs off the last 7.1 overs. Australia utilized the conditions pretty well as they picked their spot and hit 13 big sixes in their innings. India have a tough task in hand after their bowlers went for plenty. Right then, both the skipper's are out in the middle for the toss. Ricky Ponting has once again won it and elected to bat first. Indian captain MS Dhoni also wanted to bat first on this beautiful wicket.

Australia who were already struck by injuries have suffered another couple of blows. Peter Siddle and Moises Henriques both have returned back to Australia with injuries. For India, Gautam Gambhir is fit and will be available for selection today.

The wicket being used for the game is a batting paradise - offering true pace and bounce. There is a tinge of grass on it but it is only used to bind the track together. Toss wouldn't matter much as the wicket is expected to stay consistent throughout.

The series between the titans in ODI cricket, India and Australia, moves to Hyderabad where the fifth match of the 7-match series would take place today. The series stands levelled at 2-2 after Australia came back hard at India in the fourth ODI. This is another day-nighter and starts at 0900 GMT. India have been the better team over depleted Australia in this series but the men from down under gave it their best in the previous game, bowling their team to a superb win. The Indian batting has looked in great touch after game 1 and so has their bowling. The fielding was superb in the previous match as well. The visitors received a double jolt when Peter Siddle was ruled out of the series due to a side strain while all-rounder Moises Henriques will sit out due to a hamstring injury. Their batting has looked weak in the lower middle order while the bowling resources are getting depleted every match. However, their fielding and attitude has been sharp and the players have been up for it in each match. These two teams have played just once over here and Australia had been the victors. The conditions would be hot and humid and the dew factor would be very crucial.
