Indian skipper MS Dhoni was awarded the Man of the Match award for his fabulous knock in both the innings and the great leadership he showed throughout the five days at Mohali.

In the post-match presentation, master-blaster Sachin Tendulkar was handed a trophy by the Punjab Cricket Association (PCA) for creating world record at this very venue. Even Sourav Ganguly was awarded a trophy by the PCA for playing his final Test match at the venue.

Meanwhile, plenty of concerns in the Aussie camp as they were completely outplayed throughout the five days of Mohali Test. The visitor's pace attack never made an impact as an unit whereas lack of a quality spinner in the team will always be a great weakness. There is also batting concerns for the tourists as Hayden hasn't looked in great nick.

This is Dhoni's second victory as a Test skipper. 'Mahi' has led India twice in the longer version the game and both the times he has been successful. Great team effort and discipline brought India great success in the Mohali Test. The hosts' top order batsmen were among the runs. Their pace bowler showed great rhythm and now India have a new find in leggie Amit Mishra.

An emphatic win for the Indian team as they have demolished Australia by a massive margin of 320 runs and they now lead the 2008 Border-Gavaskar Trophy series 1-0. It is the hosts' biggest winning margin against the 'Baggy Green' team. Zaheer Khan started the demolishing act this morning as he rattled the wickets of Haddin, White and Lee quickly. Amit Mishra then cleaned up the tail to hand the India team a famous victory. Michael Clarke (69) was the only man who showed some resistance.
