India are going in with an unchanged side from the last game. Ireland have a couple of injury miss-outs in Trent Johnston and Niall O'Brien. They will be replaced by Andre Botha and Andrew White.

Big news then, the game has been reduced to 18 overs per side with the loss in time. The fielding restrictions will last for 5 overs. The break-ups for bowlers will be 3 bowlers can bowl 4 overs and 2 can bowl 3 overs.

The outfield was ready in no time and hence the skippers were out in the center for the toss. MS Dhoni won it for India and decided to bowl first. Ireland have a tough task then playing against some quality seamers in the Indian side and with helpful conditions around.

Even the first game did see some rain but it was too light to interrupt play. It has been overcast right through this week but the rain has kept away so far but its a different story all together today. Hope it does stay for the rest of the evening.

The rain has stopped completely and even the covers are coming off now. The Umpires are in the middle having a look at the conditions.

Hello and welcome there for the last game of the group stages. India and Ireland both are raring to go in here but its the light rain that has delayed the start. The players are though practising but the covers are laid to keep the center dry. Stay tuned we will keep you updated..

India take on Ireland in the last game of the first round matches at Trent Bridge, Nottingham. Both these teams have already made it through to the super eight stages having beaten Bangladesh. It will be a good opportunity for India to test some of the players who did not get a start in the first game and at the same time rest some of their strike bowlers. They have suffered a blow with Virendar Sehwag being ruled out for the rest of the tournament but Dinesh Kartik has been called in as his replacement. They will face a tough group in the super eight stages and it will be important for them to go through on the back of a win and a fully fit side. Ireland, on the other hand will be looking to put in their best to see if they can overhaul the defending champions in this no pressure situation. They are a very good fielding side as was very evident in their first game against Bangladesh and possess some hard hitting batsmen in Jeremy Bray, Kevin O'Brien and Niall O'Brien along with some quality bowlers in Trent Johnston, Alex Cusack and Kyle McCallan. If Ireland are able to fire in all departments we should be in for a good contest.
