Fantastic match ! What a finish ! Sri Lanka did not give up till the end and fell short by just 38 runs. Great start by Jayasuriya(24) and Dilshan(41) adding 66 in 47 balls. But after the opening blitz, Sri Lanka lost their way in the middle, losing far too many wickets. But Jayawardena(77) and Kulasekara(57 not out) hung on till the end, fighting every inch. However, in the end, the target of 316 proved too much for Sri Lanka and the middle-order collapse hurt them. For New Zealand, Kyle Mills picked up 3 wickets, but Tuffey, Franklin and Vettori pegged the Lankans back with 2 wickets each.
