Big win for the Proteas. They win by 84 runs. Having decided to bat first, they would have been mighty pleased with the score they got - 241/6 in 20 overs - The second highest score in a T20I. England started off with a required run-rate of 12.10 runs per over. They looked nowhere near their batting performance in the previous game and a couple of good partnerships just delayed the inevitable by a bit. Jonathan Trott once again looked in fine touch and scored a brilliant 51. Pietersen, too, looked in good touch and played some delightful strokes. But, in the end, it was too much to ask for and the batsmen crumbled under pressure. The South African bowling looked good with all bowlers picking up wickets. The best pick was Dale Steyn, getting 2/29 in his 4 overs. This is the worst defeat for England in a T20I, beating their previous defeat of 77 runs against Australia in Australia.

Right then! The T20I series finishes levelled at 1-1. But, to be fair enough, South Africa could have well won it 2-0. They played better cricket than England and deserved to win the series but rain robbed them of it. However, they would take a lot of confidence from this game into the 5-match ODI series.
