Sri Lanka vs India

India complete their innings at 332-5 in the alloted 50 overs. The Indian batsmen have again done well here posting a huge target on the board for the home side. After the early wicket of Sehwag, there came a huge partnership between Dhoni (94) and Gambhir who opened the innings today. Dhoni went towards the end but Gambhir went on to score his 6th ODI century and ended with scintillating knock of 150 off 147 balls. Kulasekara (3-63) for once looked threatning when he picked Yuvraj and Yusuf of consecutive balls, but then did no damage for the Indian side. In the end, Raina played a crucial knock of 49* to help the side set a mammoth target of 333 runs for the opposition. The Lankan batsmen again have a tough task in hand. MS Dhoni has again won the toss and India will bat first in the fourth ODI. There are a few changes in both the sides as India rest Sachin Tendulkar and Zaheer Khan. Irfan Pathan and Rohit Sharma get a place in the playing XI. Sri Lanka drop Ajantha Mendis and bring in Angelo Matthews.

Hello and Welcome for the coverage of the 4th ODI between India and Sri Lanka. India have already won the series and hence they will be looking for a complete whitewash here.

India completed a 3-0 series victory over the Sri Lankans with 2 games to spare and made it successive ODI series wins in the island nation in the last six months. Driven by two magnificent centuries from Virender Sehwag and Yuvraj Singh, India posted a mammoth 363 in their first innings and then skittled out a seriously under-performing Sri Lankan side for 216 to win the game by 147 runs. The visitors looked a class apart and played superbly under pressure in all departments to deservedly win the game. Sri Lanka will know that they are getting starts but not pushing on and also bowling well but not picking up wickets at crucial intervals. India will definitely use this opportunity to play some of their fringe players in the squad including Rohit Sharma, Ravindra Jadeja and maybe even Irfan Pathan and Balaji. Dhoni is not a captain to let up too easily and he will be gunning for 4-0 if not 5-0 with the added incentive of a possible move up the ODI team rankings above Australia. The pitch at Colombo is ideal for batting, the outfield is lightning quick and there are a lot of runs on offer. Jayawardene will be praying he can win the toss for once and have first use of the wicket. It should be a superb game of cricket with both sides fighting tooth and nail for a win.
