Sri Lanka vs India

Sri Lanka have done very well to get a score of 320 runs in their alloted 50 overs. The hosts were off to a blistering start and were riding high on a commandable partnership of 143 runs between Dilshan (97) and Sangakkara (84). Sri Lanka were looking all set for a total close to 350 runs but a massive collapse in the space of one over left the home team in a bit of trouble. A late flurry from Maharoof (32) helped his team reach this total. Ishant Sharma did well to scalp three wickets. The visitors go into the final ODI riding high on confidence and morale having got to a magnificent 4-0 lead over Sri Lanka. They have been consistently outplaying the hosts in all three departments and have a chance now to test some more of their bench strength in the form of Ravindra Jadeja and L.Balaji. Their spinners have been rendered ineffective by the inspired batting of Gambhir, Dhoni, Raina and Sehwag who will be playing in his 200th one day international. while their middle order continues to struggle even against the likes of Praveen Kumar and Pragyan Ojha. India will be aiming for a historic 5-0 victory to take their winning streak on to 10 and help prepare for their upcoming tour to New Zealand. The game is being played at the same ground and the pitch should continue to play well for the batsmen and offer a lot of value for their shots and since it is a day game, no team has to worry about batting under lights either.
