Trinidad and Tobago beat Diamond Eagles by 24 runs

Trinidad and Tobago have completed a comfortable 24 run victory over the Diamond Eagles after having reduced the Eagles to just 189 for 5 in their 20 overs. This victory not only guarantees Trinidad and Tobago of a spot in the semi-finals but also puts them on top of League A, ahead of New South Wales Blues. The Eagles got off to a flying start to their innings and were looking poised to make a fight out of this at the halfway mark. But once they lost the wicket of Rilee Rossouw who was going great guns, their run rate slowed down considerably and the required rate kept getting big on them. The Trinidad and Tobago bowlers did a commendable job to pull things back after they went for plenty of runs in the initial part of the innings. Adrian Barath was adjudged Man of the Match for his 63 off 41 balls which was instrumental in his team getting off to a flier. The last match of the League stages will see Delhi Daredevils take on Cape Cobras tomorrow. Do join us for all the action from that game.
