PHEW ! That is the end of the first innings. Zimbabwe have amassed a mammoth 323/7 in their allotted 50 overs. Mahbubul Alam struck early for the visitors removing Sibanda caught behind for 0 and later Vermeulen caught at mid-wicket by Mahmudullah for 11. Masakadza and Coventry added a brisk 43 for the third run-out before Coventry got himself meaninglessly run-out for 22. Masakadza and Taylor then got stuck into the Bangladesh bowling adding 142 for the fourth wicket. Rasel finally got rid of Masakadza for 102, cleaning up while Masakadza went for a swipe across the line. Chigumbura came in and teed off from ball one as Taylor and Chigumbura added a quickfire 90 off just 56 balls before Taylor was run-out for 94. Matsikenyeri and Chigumbura added another quickfire 27 off just 12 balls before Matsikenyeri trying to up the ante, got a top edge to Tamim at short third man off Shakib and lost his wicket for 23. Waller came and went for 2, getting a top edge to Mehrab in the same over. Bangladesh take on Zimbabwe in the third ODI at the Queens Sports Club in Bulawayo, looking to wrap up the 5-ODI series with a win here today. Bangladesh have been the dominant side so far on this tour much like their trip to the West Indies. They have been led well by Shakib Al Hasan who has done well with bat and ball, along with marshalling his troops most effectively. He has found good support from former skipper Mohammad Ashraful with the bat with the two having gotten a ton each in the previous games.
